2. Important Regulatory Information for International Usage of the Card:
a. The Card is valid for use both in India and abroad. It is however, not valid for foreign currency transactions in Nepal and Bhutan.
b. Usage of the Card for transacting outside India must be made in accordance with the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (“FEMA”)
and related Rules & Regulations and in the event of any failure to do so, you may be liable for penal action under the Foreign Exchange Management Act,
c. You should consult your Authorised Dealer (AD) regarding your foreign exchange entitlement.
d. You undertake and agree not to use the Card for making payment for any illegal purchases including without limitation purchase of items / services not
permitted by the RBI as per the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 and related Rules & Regulations.
e. The Bank shall not be responsible for the rate of conversion or fluctuation in the exchange rate and, such rate of conversion shall be binding upon the
f. The Card is accepted at all electronic Point of Sale (POS) terminals at Merchant establishments, which display the VISA logo. Please check the country/ies
for VISA Card acceptance before use.
g. As per the VISA Dispute Management Rules, transactions done at Merchant establishments which pertain to travel and entertainment (including
restaurants) cannot be disputed by the Cardholder/s if the limit does not exceed USD 25 and the Bank cannot dispute the same as a chargeback. The
Bank shall not be liable for any Card transaction which the Cardholder/s may raise a dispute upon if the disputed amount is less than USD 25 and the
Cardholder shall be solely liable for the same without any liability and responsibility to the Bank whatsoever.
3. Personal Identification Number (PIN) / One Time Password (OTP):
a. The Cardholder acknowledges, represents and warrants that the PIN/OTP provides access to the designated account and that the Cardholder accepts
the sole responsibility for use, confidentiality and protection of the PIN/OTP, as well as for any and all mandates and information changes, etc. entered in
to the account using such PIN/OTP.
b. The Cardholder shall not record the PIN/OTP in any form so as to protect the PIN/OTP from falling into the hands of a third party. The Cardholder grants
express authority to the Bank for carrying out transactions and instructions authenticated by the PIN/OTP and shall not revoke the same and shall not
hold the Bank liable and responsible for carrying out any such transaction/s and/or instruction/s so authenticated by the PIN/OTP.
c. Bank has no obligation to verify the authenticity of the transaction and/or instruction sent or purported to have been sent by the Cardholder if the same
is authenticated by the Cardholder's PIN/OTP. The Card and the PIN/OTP, therefore, should remain in the Cardholder's sole possession and should not
be handed over/informed to anyone else.
d. The Card is issued to the Cardholder on the condition that the Bank bears no liability and responsibility for the unauthorized use of the Card. This
responsibility and liability is fully and solely that of the Cardholder. Further, the Bank will not be responsible and liable in any manner for any loss either
direct or indirect because of ATM failure / malfunctioning.
4. Loss /Theft / Misuse of the Card:
a. The Cardholder should immediately block the Card through the available channels (i.e., NiYO App. and NiYO Customer Care). The NiYO Customer Care
Number is +91 75561 70333.
b. The Cardholder is solely responsible for the security of the Card and shall take all steps towards ensuring the safekeeping thereof. Further, in the event,
the Bank determines that the steps are not complied with, financial liability on the lost or stolen Card would rest exclusively with the Cardholder.
c. A Fresh Card will be issued in replacement of the lost/damaged Card at a fee.
d. The Cardholder will be liable for any and all losses in case of misuse of the Card through PIN based transactions or otherwise or if the Card is used by
someone else with the Cardholder’s consent.
e. The Card cannot be used for any purpose prohibited by any statutory/regulatory authority.
5. Billing & Statement:
a. The monthly statement is a record of payments and transactions and can be viewed within the NiYO App. If you wish to receive the statement through
email, simply activate the App. and use the option to request an email account statement. It will be sent to your email ID registered with NiYO.
b. You can also view your monthly Card usage in the App. You can access your Card statement anytime using your App by selecting the "Menu" icon and
then "Statements" to generate the statement of your Card. This will be directly emailed to your registered email ID.
c. Billing Disputes: If there is a dispute, you must inform the Bank within 30 days of receipt of the statement. On receipt of such information, the Bank may
reverse the charges on a temporary basis. If, on completion of subsequent investigations, the liability of such charges is ascertained to be to your
account, the charge will be reinstated in a subsequent statement and a nominal fee will be charged.
6. DCB NiYO Card Renewal:
a. Your Card is valid for a period of upto 5 years from the date of issuance. Card validity will be mentioned on the face of the Card in MM/YY format. Your
renewed Card will be dispatched one month before the expiry of the Card.
7. Termination/ Revocation of the Card Membership:
a. You may terminate the Card at any time by contacting the NiYO customer care at firstname.lastname@example.org from your registered email ID.
b. If any such request/intimation is received from you, all outstanding amounts will immediately become due.
c. The Bank may also adjust or appropriate amounts in your account and cancel the use of the Card and close the account at any time without prior
notice, if it reasonably believes it necessary for business and security reasons, including without limitation if you delay payments, exceed the credit limit
or if cheques are returned.
d. The Bank would take up to 30 days to execute the request for Card closure.
e. You may receive monthly statements even after the closure of the Card, reflecting the actual outstanding. All such outstanding amounts shall be paid by
a. DCB Bank and/ or its representatives may tie up with credit bureaus authorised by the RBI and will share credit information including, but not limited to,
your current balance, payment history, etc. along with your demographic details with these credit bureaus, as per the Credit Information Companies
(Regulation) Act, 2005. The credit bureaus only provide factual credit information and do not provide any opinion, indication or comment pertaining to
whether credit should or should not be granted. It is in your best interest to maintain good credit history by paying the necessary dues in a timely
manner. With credit bureaus in place, responsible customers can expect faster and more competitive services at better terms from the credit grantors.
Default by customers would be available with the credit bureaus, which in turn could impact your creditworthiness for future requirements.
b. DCB Bank will provide your particulars to regulatory/statutory authorities as may be required.
c. If you do not wish to receive any direct marketing or telecalling / telesales calls, please register yourself for the "Do Not Call" facility.
a. The Card may be purchased and held by residents of India only, after completing Know Your Customer (KYC) and other formalities as required by the
b. DCB Bank & NiYO reserve the right to limit the principal / primary purchase amount and reload amount onto the principal / primary purchase amount of
the card usage.
c. The Bank reserves the right to introduce new facilities or remove existing facilities as and when warranted, without assigning any reason/s for the same.
d. The Bank may, at its discretion, refuse any application for the Card without assigning any reason. Fees charged (if any) for the use of the Card are not
refundable under any circumstances.
e. The Bank has the right to withdraw the privilege/s attached to the Card and to call upon the Cardholder to surrender the Card through the merchant
establishments, or their representatives or any other representative of the Bank, without assigning any reason.
f. Use of the Card shall be terminated without notice, upon receiving intimation of the death, bankruptcy or insolvency of the Cardholder or on receipt of
a letter from any one of the joint account holders changing the operative clause, receipt of an attachment order from a competent court or revenue
authority or from RBI due to violation of FEMA/Exchange Control Regulations, or for any other valid reason/s or when the whereabouts of the
Cardholder become unknown to the Bank due to any cause attributable to the Cardholder.
g. The ATM service is for withdrawing cash against the balance that is already available in your account. It is therefore the Cardholder's obligation to
maintain sufficient balance in the designated account to meet cash withdrawals and service charges.
h. The Bank at its absolute discretion may amend the Terms and Conditions governing ATM services. Please visit https://www.goniyo.com or NiYO’s help
